Abstract:
This ordinance outlines the book policy of Denmark-Norway within the framework of Protestantism, indicating which Christian books were appropriate and emphasising that all future books would have to be approved by the University of Copenhagen before being put on the market. One of the lasting effects of the ordinance was the centralisation of the Danish-Norwegian printing industry in the city of Copenhagen.
