Til underdånigst följe af Kongl. Maj:ts Nådiga befallning (...) Privilegium, härwarande Kongl. Swenska Wettenskaps Academien allena tilkommer at utgifwa och låta trycka Almanachor (...)

Abstract:
This privilege gave the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences the sole right to compose and print almanacs for the public. As such, the privilege served not only to monopolise printing and thus sales, but also to standardise the content. Although the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences began to lease the privilege to individual printers in the nineteenth century, the privilege remained in force until 1972.
