in those locations which are most suitable for these purposes. Members of our and the Realms’ Chancellery-College, which oversees the printeries, shall chair these meetings. All Book Printers from the provinces, who are able to attend, have a right to participate and have their voices heard. Those unable to do so, can have their affairs represented by a delegate from one of the printeries operating in the city.

§. 2.

Since this Society is principally responsible for supervision of the book printers, so that all be carried out in an orderly fashion and that the craft may continue to develop and improve in the Realm, We grant the Society the authority to settle minor disputes that may arise between the Book Printers themselves or their workers, with respect to poor work performance or damages. The Society may also impose fines on the offenders, in minor cases among companies, in accordance with the paragraphs set out herein, and they may receive financial assistance from the relevant authorities in these matters. The monies obtained through these fines shall be to the Society’s account as a source of income to cover the necessary costs for the services of notaries, correspondence, and all other necessary expenses. Alla Boktryckare, som wid slike tilfällen ifrån Landsorterne kunna komma tilstädes, äga i sammankomsterne säte och stämma: kunnandes the frånwarande genom Fullmägtige af the här i Staden warande Boktryckare låta theras angelägenheter besörja.

§. 2.

Som thenna Societet förnämligast åligger, at hålla hand öfwer Boktryckerierne, så at alt må therwid ordenteligen tilgå, och Konsten här i Riket tiltaga och förbättras, så lämne Wi ock Societeten frihet, at afgiöra alla the mindre stridigheter, som antingen emellan Boktryckerie-ägarne sielfwe, eller theras folk, om försummelse i arbete, eller thess förderfwande upkomma kunna, likaledes andra mindre mål inom wärken, wid hwilka tilfällen Societeten har, at efter omständigheterne the brottslige med böter belägga, på sätt, som i följande § § stadgas, samt therwid af wederbörande Executor njuta handräckning. The penningar, som therigenom inflyta, tilhöra Societeten, såsom en inkomst, til at therföre bestrida the omkostningar, som fordras til Notarii
