We undersigned Booksellers, respectively residing within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, however, currently present in the City of Amsterdam, declare to have devised and determined the following today:

Regulations for the activities of the Association promoting the interests of the Book trade.

Art. 1.

The main objective of this Association remains to assist each other, by joined forces, in the preservation of each one's lawfully obtained property and copyright, and to all counteract and prevent infringement thereof, in particular the reproduction of Books, in the same manner as has taken place so far, and has been stated in detail in an Deed of Commitment established in the year 1816.
Furthermore, to yearly collectively discuss, at a General Meeting, what could be done additionally for the benefit of the Booksellers, to settle differences, if possible, to assist and support the wronged with all resources that could be used, and to consider all proposals of Members to accomplish the aforementioned objectives and decide thereon.

Art. 2.

Taken to be Members of this Association are they, who, by their accession until this date, have become Member of this Association, and who will sign up henceforth, on the condition of being

Wij ondergetekenden Boekhandelaren, respectivelijk binnen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden woonachtig, doch zich thans bevinden binnen de stad Amsterdam, verklaren op heden onderling te hebben beraamd en vastgesteld het naarvolgende

Reglement der werkzaamheden voor de Vereeniging ter bevordering van de belangen des Boekhandels.

Art. 1.

Het hoofdoogmerk dezer Vereeniging blijft, om, door gemeenschappelijke krachten, elkander te helpen in het bewaren van ieders wettig verkregen eigendom en kopijregt, en allen aanval daarop, bijzonder door het nadrukken van Boeken, tegen te gaan en te beletten, op dezelfde wijze, als tot dus verre heeft plaats gehad, en bij eene Akte van verbindtenis, in den jare 1816 vastgesteld, breedvoerig is vermeldt.
Voorts om jaarlijks, op een Algemeene Vergadering, gemeenschappelijk te overleggen, wat verder ten nutte des Boekhandels kan worden daargesteld, alle verschillen, zoo mogelijk, te vereffenen, de verongelijkten met alle middelen, die kunnen aangewend worden, te helpen en te ondersteunen, en alle voorstellen der Leden, om bovengenoemde Oogmerken te bereiken, te overwegen en daarop te besluiten.

Art. 2.

Als Lieden dezer vereeniging worden beschouwd Zij die, door hunne toetreding tot dato dezes, Leden dezer vereeniging geworden zijn en, mits Boekverkoopers zijnde, voortaan zich daartoe zullen
